§01

Accepting these terms

By installing or using the SanghaPath mobile application (the "App") or visiting the marketing website at sanghapath.com (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App or the Site.

§02

What SanghaPath provides

SanghaPath is a Buddhist practice companion. It provides a curated library of chants, a guide to Buddhist World heritage sites, a calendar of significant days and lunar tithis, and prayer reminders. The App is a tool. It is not a substitute for instruction from a qualified teacher, nor for medical, mental-health, or pastoral care.

§03

Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
  • You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You may close your account at any time from inside the App. Closing your account deletes your on-device data and your server-side profile within 30 days.

§04

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the App's source code, except as permitted by applicable law.
  • Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm another person.
  • Scrape, crawl, or otherwise systematically harvest data from the App or the Site.
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, state, national, or international law.

§05

Content and intellectual property

The App and Site, including the SanghaPath wordmark, the logo mark, the curated library of chants, the heritage-site guide, and the lunar calendar engine, are owned by SanghaPath and protected by copyright and other applicable laws. You may use the App and the Site for your personal, non-commercial practice.

Where the App displays chants, sutras, or other sacred texts, those texts remain the property of their respective traditions and lineages. We display them with the intent of supporting practice; nothing in the App is intended to replace or supersede the authority of a teacher or community.

§06

Prayer reminders and notifications

Prayer reminders are scheduled by you. SanghaPath is not responsible for missed reminders caused by device settings, low battery, airplane mode, or the unavailability of a network.

§07

Subscriptions and purchases

Some features may be offered as a paid subscription or one-time purchase. Pricing and terms are presented in the App before you confirm a purchase. Refunds are handled by the platform store (Apple App Store or Google Play) under their respective policies.

§08

Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. SanghaPath does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

§09

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SanghaPath shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App or the Site.

§10

Changes to these terms

If we make a material change, we will surface a notice inside the App before the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.

§11

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which SanghaPath is registered. For questions, write to us at support@sanghapath.com.

§12

Community safety and moderation

Community features are governed by our Community Standards. You can report content or a user in the App. We may remove content, limit features, suspend accounts, or escalate urgent threats. For moderation support, contact moderation@sanghapath.com.
